Personal Safety 101:  Skills for Life

Personal safety 101 is designed to meet the unique needs of teens in high school or preparing to leave home for work or college. The camp incorporates topics related to care-defense and covers physical and non-physical self-defense skills, including the relationship between equity and violence, healthy relationships, setting boundaries, bystander intervention, self-care and what to do after any assault. ead more about our unique approach. EMERJ-SafeNow Year Round Sessions

We offer equitable sessions in the form of workshops, programs and presentations with a sliding scale for payment and scholarships, as needed by communities or organizations. Sessions are usually taught in 2-3 hour modules, and are generally  6-8 sessions in length. These sessions may be in the form of programs, workshops and presentations whatever form best meets the needs of the community to best address their personal safety concerns. These modules are created after understanding trust and safety has been established:
