DESCRIPTION:Register Today!  \nThis unique workshop provides opportunities for parents/guardians and children to learn together tactics and skills to stay safe in public and private spaces. We understand that the topic of self-defense can be triggering for anyone who has experienced  violence such as bullying\, harassment\, or assault.We begin each workshop with a listening session that prioritizes  the safety concerns and needs of the participants to help us prioritize the topics. Topics include street smarts and strategies to stop or interrupt harassment and bullying\, recognizing healthy and unhealthy behaviors\, setting and respecting  boundaries\, assertive communication\, de-escalation\, and physical and non physical skills. All sessions are designed to create an emotionally safe learning environment. Sessions are led by experienced facilitators who have been teaching  self-defense  to people of all backgrounds\, genders  and ages.
