Adults

EMERJ-SafeNow offers  sessions throughout the year for adults of all ages, backgrounds and genders. Our programs and workshops  are equity based and culturally specific. We collaborate with communities and community leaders in a variety of ways: through informal meetings sharing beverages and food, and/or sharing or listening sessions and public forums.

After building a caring relationship and exchanging of ideas, EMERJ-SafeNow facilitators and community members work together to develop curricula and determine what strategies and approaches best suit the needs of the population. Communities decide if they want gender specific sessions and what topics best meet their personal safety needs. Read more about our unique approach.

EMERJ-SafeNow Sessions

We offers equitable sessions in the form of workshops, programs and presentations with a sliding scale for payment and scholarships, as needed by communities or organizations.

Sessions are usually taught in 2-3 hour modules, and are generally  6-8 sessions in length. These sessions may be in the form of programs, workshops and presentations whatever form best meets the needs of the community to best address their personal safety concerns. These modules are created after understanding trust and safety has been established:
