Kickin’ it! Self-defense for Kids (Grades 3-5)

Have fun and build confidence while exploring topics related to care-defense, a new form of self-defense that focuses on taking care of yourself before learning to defend yourself.
Using martial arts, drama, games, and other activities, the camp will explore healthy relationships, assertive communication, mindfulness, street smarts and bullying prevention. The camp starts with a listening session for children and caregivers providing space and time for participants to share safety topics or concerns important to their lives. This approach provides participants with choices and a voice on what topics they want covered during the week.
The camp culminates in a fun demonstration for caregivers and friends. Children of all genders welcome.
