Personal safety 101 is designed to meet the unique needs of teens in high school or preparing to leave home for work,  college or travel. The sessions start with a listening session for teens and/or  caregivers providing space and time for participants to share  safety topics or concerns important to their lives. This approach provides  participants with choices and a voice on what topics they want covered during the sessions.  Topics offered include care-defense, a new form of self-defense that starts with taking care of your body, mind and spirit; physical and non-physical self-defense skills, equity and violence prevention, healthy relationships and choices;  setting personal boundaries, bystander intervention, self-care and what to do after an assault.

Expect to have fun and feel empowered as you learn topics related to self-defense and personal safety!  People of all  genders welcome!
