Adults
EMERJ-SafeNow offers sessions throughout the year for adults of all ages, backgrounds and genders. Our programs and workshops are equity based and culturally specific. We collaborate with communities and community leaders in a variety of ways: through informal meetings sharing beverages and food, and/or sharing or listening sessions and public forums.
After building a caring relationship and exchanging of ideas, EMERJ-SafeNow facilitators and community members work together to develop curricula and determine what strategies and approaches best suit the needs of the population. Communities decide if they want gender specific sessions and what topics best meet their personal safety needs. Read more about our unique approach.
